Elizabeth Paik

Bio

My father was a nationally acclaimed musical composer, my mother taught classical piano for over 15 years and my brother learnt to draw while he was still in his diapers. Growing up in family so involved in the arts, it was little wonder that I felt at a very young age that my true vocation would either be on the stage or in the studio.

I can't really explain how I ended up immersed in corporate life, working in one firm after another in advertising, marketing and sales. I guessed it had something to do with the type of degrees that my Asian mother pushed me into studying. The natural ability that had caused my early teachers to rave, whether the class was ballet, piano, violin, painting, photography, drama or singing was quickly forgotten.

Graduating with a BA in Journalism and Mass Communications in 1995 and an MBA in 2000, I finally realized that I was only using further education as a vehicle to satisfy the creative hole in my life. That all changed when I decided to get back to my creative roots and embark on a career of choice. That was when I found MSP and the rest, as they say, is “history”.
