Meeting and event space

The Women's Building provides affordable meeting and event space supporting cultural events, educational forums, advocacy meetings, and support groups. Thousands of people each year come to The Women's Building for events that address a full spectrum of current social and cultural issues. Our facilities include a refurbished auditorium, two classrooms, and a gallery-quality event space with adjacent kitchen. To preserve the diversity of our community, we encourage the use of our facilities among groups working with under-represented constituencies.

While commercial real estate in San Francisco has escalated beyond the reach of many community-based organizations, The Women's Building has renewed its commitment to maintaining affordable rents. You can learn a lot about an organization from the company it keeps and who we are depends largely on how we serve the 11 other local, grassroots groups living in The Women's Building and collaborate with them on empowering our community to enact positive social change.
