The Wings Learning Center website was designed and built by this team of students at San Francisco State University through the Multimedia Studies Program. The Web Design Intensive is an immersive, professional training program lasting 20 weeks.

Wings Learning Center was partnered with Team Wings through the efforts of TeamTech San Francisco. TeamTech is a collaborative effort between Americorps, the United Way, and the IBM Corporation. Its mission is to assist local nonprofit agencies in the effective use of information technology, thereby increasing the impact of each agency's work in the communities that they serve. Participants in Americorps work though the local United Way and its affiliates to identify community-based service agencies and to provide them with information technology resources.

TeamTech provides the Web Design Intensive students with a pre-screened group of non-profits, of which, the students select and develop a web site for as their final project. "Team Wings" felt strongly about the mission of Wings Learning Center and thus the match was made.

Funding for technology is provided by the IBM Corporation. The Macromedia Corporation made a donation of software that will be used by Wings Learning Center to maintain and update this website.
