For over two decades, Friends of Victim Witness Assistance Program, Inc. has supported the Victim Services Unit in providing a variety of services to the victims of violent crime.

The non-profit program was set up in order to provide financial resources to meet needs for which Victim Services receives no grant funding. Money provided by Friends is used, not only as an emergency fund to meet the immediate, basic needs of victims, but also to provide training for victim advocates and police officers, dissemination of educational material in the community and to fill countless other needs that arise.
