Support for Families of Children with Disabilities actively collaborates with a variety of government agencies, nonprofit, and service providers to help develop more coordinated, family-friendly services.
Our partnerships include:

Open Gate Family Resource Center: A one-stop, family resource and information center. Support for Families is the lead program agency. Members include: the San Francisco Unified School District Special Education Intake Unit, Community Mental Health, United Cerebral Palsy, Community Alliance for Special Education (CASE), Community Advisory Committee for Special Education, and the KIDS Project. Family Voices of California: Support for Families is the California Coordinator of 14 Family Resource Centers promoting family-centered health care access for children with special health needs. Family Voices of California is part of the national Family Voices organization. For more information, email fvca@supportforfamilies.org.

High Risk Infant Interagency Council: HRIIC is a San Francisco parent/professional body with the mission to ensure that all children with special needs ages birth to three receive services in a timely and coordinated way through interagency collaboration.

HRIIC members include representatives of public and private organizations, including Regional Center, CCS, School District, Human Services, early intervention providers, community agencies, and parents of young children with special needs. For more information, email hriic@supportforfamilies.org.

Child Care Inclusion Challenge Project: A collaboration with the Department of Human Services, the Children's Council, Wu Yee Children's Services and Support for Families to increase access to appropriate inclusive childcare for children with disabilities whose parents are making transition from welfare to work.

Healthcare Access Project: A collaboration among the Volunteer Legal Services Program, Haight Ashbury Free Clinics, Glide Memorial United Methodist Church, and Support for Families to improve the health of homeless and low-income children and adults with disabilities in San Francisco.
