Welcome
to the Support for Families Exchange. This bulletin board is for
the benefit of families, professionals, and community members who
care for -- and about -- children with any kind of disability or
special health care need.
We
hope that the bulletin board will be used to post and share information
about child care, equipment needed (or no longer needed), resources,
legislation, and other issues of concern to our community.
Please
remember that this is a public forum. If you wish to discuss something
with an individual, please e-mail that person privately.
Also,
although we will make every effort to monitor the Exchange, Support
for Families cannot guarantee the accuracy of any information posted
on this board.
How
to Use the Bulletin Board:
When
you click on the bulletin board link, a new window will open to
take you to our forum, the Support for Families Exchange.
Click
on Support for Families Exchange and you will get to the list of
topics that have been posted to date.
To
reply to a message or add to the discussion on a topic:
1.
Click on the topic name or message.
2. Click on the "Add Reply" button.
3. You will be asked for a user name and password. You may use your
own name, initials, or a "handle" for a user name.
The password is: ourkids.
4. Type in your message. You can include your e-mail address if
you wish to have replies sent directly to you.
5. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen. Here you can click to
preview your message and/or do a spell check if you wish.
6. When you are ready to post your message click the “Add Reply”
button at the bottom of the screen.
To
start a new topic:
1.
Click on the “New Topic” button.
2. You will be asked for a user name and password. You may use your
own name, initials, or a made-up "handle" for a user name.
The password is: ourkids.
3. Type in a subject name and post your message. You can include
your email address if you wish to have replies sent directly to
you.
4. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen. Here you can click to
preview your message and/or do a spell check if you wish.
5. When you are ready to post your message click the “Add Post”
button at the bottom of the screen.
