Ways To Contribute...
The Catalog for Giving - Bay Area
Every day, myriad small, little-known non-profits in the Bay Area work on the front lines, providing worthwhile programs and services for disadvantaged children and youth. Many of these non-profits reach children whose lives have been touched by drugs, crime and violence. The mission of The Catalog for Giving-Bay Area is to help bring attention and financial support to these organizations.

The Catalog for Giving concept originated in New York City and grew out of a comment made by a direct marketing executive who said, "Why are there so many catalogs for buying? There should be a catalog for giving." Founders Barbara Kronman and Sally Berg took this idea and formed the Catalog for Giving-New York City. The women have produced two editions, directing 100% of the funds to New York charities. The New York success generated interest in and led to the formation of affiliates in other locations. Each affiliate is an autonomous organization, holding its own 501(c)(3) and serving local charities. The Catalog for Giving - Bay Area is the only edition published outside of New York.
